Who says statistics can’t be fun?
Choosing where to spend the third semester of our Global Development Masters course was always going to be a challenge, but we knew working with statistics was a must. Heading to Myanmar to work on development economics research was just the opportunity we were looking for. During the next twenty or so weeks we will update you on the experiences, stumbling blocks and stories that will make this such a memorable internship.
While we are different, we share a passion for numbers. Our sample of two Masters students comprises Bea, 22, from Italy and Stewart, 32, from England. Over the course of the blog, you’ll learn more about us… we might even put the key details in a table.
Although we are working hard on the project, we intend to make the most out of this time we are going to spend in Myanmar. This blog is both our personal online scrapbook and a way to share our experience with friends, families and people interested in visiting the country.
You can expect stories of our travels to some of the 15 different States, reflections from our everyday life, oodles of photos, plenty of talk about food (because we love food) and statistics… not necessarily in this order.
We also hope you will take the opportunity to ask us questions that we’ll try our best to answer.
We are certain (at all conventional levels) that you will find a positive correlation between reading our blog and your general happiness.
